These ceramic pieces are an exploration on the nuances and versatility that clay marbling may have on functional & non-functional ceramics.

The work featured below provides a range of different functional & non-functional forms to emphasize the subtleties of the marbling technique.

I intentionally expose the beauty of raw material, and emphasize certain patterns and striations inspired by my personal relationship and interaction with my visual landscape.

Purposefully leaving surface cracks unrefined, and fingerprints still showing, on the final construction of the pieces, is all done in an effort to embrace a symbiotic relationship between the user and the material.

Muted earth tones, and organic forms that embrace a naturalistic irregularity, reappear throughout my work, as a result of being surrounded by constant activity in places like the beach, the desert, city sidewalks, and even the woods, throughout my travels.

The diversity and utilization of our surrounding landscapes are forever defined by the individuals who occupy their space.
